Short term
Last week, the average spot price in the Netherlands was 79.9 €/MWh. Renewable energy generation was quite variable. Germany, in particular, experienced several days of limited solar generation due to heavy cloud cover in the south. The actual price spread between Germany and the Netherlands was nearly 0 after Germany ended up settling several euros lower at the end of the week.
Gas prices fell, with the average day-ahead gas price dropping by nearly 1.5 euros compared to the previous week. Gas prices for the coming months generally fell by around 1 euro. October and November contracts closed at 35.6 and 37.2 €/MWh, respectively. CO2 prices also fell, closing 1.5 euros lower at 65 €/EUA.

Long term
For 2025, similar price changes were observed. TTF gas dropped by 1.5 euros to 37.1 €/MWh, and CO2 closed at 67.1 €/EUA. Dutch power prices decreased by 4 euros, closing at 83.6 €/MWh.
